POST SUMMIT HIGHLIGHTS
Helpful takeaways from the United at Work Summit as a reminder of why supporting your employees in the area of Mental Health is so important to your business:
- Having access to an outside mental health professional for a corporate environment is extremely helpful, and sometimes vital to appropriately support staff.
- There were helpful tips on relating to employees when going through stressful situations. Ways to support women leaders and moms in the workplace. Ways to recognize folks in distress. Actual action items we can implement on a small/$0 budget.
- We have already started some of these at our organization and are so excited to keep going! The keynote speaker was really good.
- I am going to use his way of asking people how they are by having them rate it on a scale of 1 to 10.
- I am going to be more intentional about asking how my teammates are doing. And remembering to follow up after when they share about personal matters.
- The breathing exercises were great too!
